Congestive heart failure is a clinical syndrome (a collection of signs and symptoms) caused by abnormalities in the structure or function of the heart. The aim of this thesis is to determine the factors associated with the incidence of congestive heart failure. This research was conducted using a crossectional study and Chi-Square test with results in the form of univariate analysis and bivariate analysis, using the Purposive Non-Random Sampling Technique. The population in this study were patient medical record documents in the heart polyclinic and ICVCU room at Dr. RSUD. (H.C) Ir Soekarno Bangka Belitung. The number of samples used in the research was 168 documents. The results of this study showed that there was a significant relationship between age (P value = 0.001), gender (P value = 0.000) and history of hypertension (P value = 0.000) with the incidence of congestive heart failure in the heart clinic and ICVCU room. The suggestion from this research is to increase health promotion to the community regarding factors related to the incidence of Congestive Heart Failure so that it can reduce morbidity and even death rates.
